Alhaji Ibrahim Kamara was on Thursday sent back at the Pademba Road Male Correctional centre by Magistrate Albert Moody of the Freetown Magistrate Court No.2.
Alhaji Ibrahim Kamara who is the first accused was charged with one Nafat Bangura who is the second accused for conspiracy, while the first accused was also charged with sexual penetration of a child.
The second accused is already on bail while the first accused was sent back to the Male Correctional Centre.
According to prosecution witness, detective police constable Isatu Kamara attached to the Family Support Unit, Shell Police Post, she admitted knowing both accused and maintained that she was on duty on the 20 November 2015 when one Abdulai Kamara accompanied the victim to make report about a sexual penetration matter for her to investigate.
She furthered that she obtained statement from the victim, and the two both accused after they were arrested and subsequently issued out a police medical form to the victim for her to be examined and treated at the Rainbow centre, noting that the victim later returned with an endorsed medical report.
The witness pointed out that she charged both accused with conspiracy contrary to section 43(b) of the offences act of 2012 and the first accused with sexual penetration of a child contrary to section 19 of the Sexual Offences Act of 2012.
According to the first accused, he said he did not commit such crime. “The police arrested the perpetrator and later released him and used him as witness against me”
Both accused were without a lawyer while Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Zizer is the prosecutor. The matter was adjourned to 21 March 2016.
