“After serving the APC for over twenty years and has helped building it, all they could pay me was humiliation,” Tamba Sandi, former APC Deputy Organizing Secretary said.
Sandi accused the APC of treating him unfairly, claiming that the party has linked him into a matter he knows nothing about.
“Karamoh Kabbah made allegations against the elected former Vice President, Alhaji Chief Samuel Sam Sumana and I was invited to testify, but I told the Committee as was chaired by Hon. Ibrahim Ben Kargbo that I knew nothing about the allegations. I told them that Sam Sumana is a good man,” Sandi maintained.
He revealed that he was surprised when the committee came out with its decisions, suspending him for one year.
He said when his one year suspension elapsed, he got back to the party but was rejected by the Secretary General, Osman Foday Yansanneh, Pa Sani Sesay and others.
“I have waited for two years six months for them to get back to me, but they did not. Which means that they no more need me in the party? So I decided to make a quit.”
He said he has made several efforts to meet with the President, who is the chairman of the party, but all ended in futility, adding: “when we were in opposition, the President and I used to eat together but today we are the bad guys.”
