The Acting Secretary General of the Western Area Football Association (WAFA), Benjamin Gordon has told journalists that the Association wants 24 division-one clubs to compete in this season division one league.

He however, stated that the executive shall decide the number of teams participating in the competitions of WAFA as stipulated in the WAFA constitution.

He said that for that reason, WAFA is looking for interested team(s) that will fulfill the requirements for a final 24 division-one spot.

“All the teams who want to take part in the league must have met the WAFA criteria by Friday 29 March 2019,” he revealed.

He said that part of the requirements for teams are; bank statements/audited financial statements and a training ground.

WAFA should make sure that teams that are going to register should have an executive that should run the club.
