A video clip on the discovery of the corpse of Sydney Henry David Buckles alias DJ Clef who is now deceased in the alleged murder trial involving two accused persons, Baimba Moi Foray aka LA Chocolate and Averil Oreh Renner was yesterday played at the Freetown Magistrate Court No.1 presided over by Magistrate Mohamed Seray Wuire.

The clip was produced by a freelancer who discovered the remains of DJ Clef at Murray Town in Freetown.

In his testimony in court, the sixth prosecution witness Cyril Aaron Smith told the court that he recalled on the 25th May 2015 along Macauley Street Murray Town cemetery where he discovered the corpse of DJ Clef and videoed it on his digital Sonny Camera.

He said while at Murray Town videoing the abandoned corpse of DJ Clef, the Ebola Response Team arrived in a Red Cross vehicle and took the corpse away for burial. The witness furthered that after four days, he contacted the Ebola Response Centre to know whether the deceased died of Ebola, but said that the head of Ebola burial team, Mr. Victor Kamara told him that the remains of DJ Clef was Ebola free.

He said on the 30th May 2015 he was supposed to have an engagement with one Mrs. Joyce Tucker but could not make it as she reported of missing her nephew and that she was at the Aberdeen police station.

The witness said he went to the Aberdeen police station to see Mrs. Tucker and that on his arrival, he said he met Mrs. Tucker together with family members reporting about someone who has got missing.

At that moment, the witness said he requested for the photo of the missing person which was sent to him through mobile phone showing the face of the deceased and the tattoo.

The witness said he later returned to the police station and contacted the head of the police station together with family members and provided them information of a video clip relating to the missing person.

He said based upon the information provided, himself and the police moved to the first accused resident but could not gain access to the house as the accused told them that his house keys were with his senior driver. They went there again for the second time together with accused and they were directed by the accused to collect his house keys from one Mr. Boima in a saloon on Sir Samuel Lewis road in Freetown.

The witness concluded that they went and collected the keys from the said Mr. Boima and went to LAC premises where he took videos.

The corpse of DJ Clef video clip was tendered in court as exhibits, and the printed photos were tended as exhibits c1-7.

The accused Baimba Moi Foray alias LAC and Aviril Renner were charged on two counts of conspiracy to commit murder and murder contrary to law.

The particulars of offence state that the accused persons were on the 15th May 2015 at No.1 Johnson Street off Aberdeen in Freetown conspired to murder Sydney Henry David Buckle alias DJ. Clef. Bail was not granted to the accused persons who were remanded at the Pademba Road Correctional Centre.  The Matter continues.
