There is unexpected shakeup at the Hajj Committee following Sylvia Blyden’s plot to incriminate the Vice President’s brother Momoh Bockarie Foh, New Age reports.
The shakeup has seen the unconditional removal of the Minister of State in the Office of the Vice President, Mohamed A. Bah, as Chairman Hajj Committee.
This came shortly after Minister A. Bah, Social Welfare Minister Sylvia Blyden and one Shekito Kamara working in the Office of the President, conspiratorially recorded telephone conversion between the former (Minister A. Bah) and Momoh Foh (Permanent secretary Ministry of Social Welfare).
The recorded conversion between the duos was done in the office of the Minister of Social Welfare in the presence of Shiek Shekito Kamara, one of the country’s Presidential Aides.
The leaked audio was later sent on social media, which then prompted the anti graft agency of Sierra Leone instituting investigation into allegations of corruption.
The assumption of others is that Sylvia Blyden must equally be sacked for divulging sensitive government information (official secret), which moreover is an offence punishable to two years imprisonment.
Others see Sylvia’s leaking of the audio in question as a way bringing down Vice President Foh, who many think is interested in the leadership of the ruling APC.
Amusing nonetheless is the fact that Sylvia’s fellow conspirator, Shiek Shekito Kamara, has replaced Minister A. Bah as chairman of the Hajj Committee, while the former (Sylvia), who posted the leaked audio on the social media continues enjoying Ministerial appointment.
