Anti-graft campaigners have described the government of President Koroma as ‘most corrupt in the political history of Sierra Leone.’
The APC, over the years, has gone into deals benefiting few within circles of governance than it could to the general good of society.
In 2012, Action Aid Sierra Leone did a report exposing how the government of President Koroma misused government revenue to the tune of hundreds of millions.
The report revealed how in 2012 alone the Koroma government gave tax exemptions of over 224 million dollars- correspondingly Le966.6 billion.
That Sierra Leone lost such moneys when Samura Kamara (the now APC’s presidential candidate) was Minister of Finance and Economic Development.
Economists say Sierra Leone would have used such moneys to fix up its health sector, but for the reason of bad fiscal and monetary policies, the country is still world’s worst place for women to give birth.
They bemoaned the fact that one of persons responsible for such is Samura Kamara, the man now battling for the Presidency of Sierra Leone; a country he helped to destroy over the years.
However, Samura has for at all times taken upon himself in accepting blame on the way the country was/ and is being managed.
