Exactly four weeks after the body of the former Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) Samuel O. William was found at his Devil Hole residence, the Sierra Leone Police have disclosed they have 11 suspects in custody.
This information was yesterday disclosed by the Director of Crime, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Morie Lengor, during an emergency press briefing held at SLP Headquarter.
According to the Director of Crime, Lengor, since the brutal killing of the former CDS they have been investigating the case with the help of the family, public, Armed Forces and CID.
Police have arrested 11 suspects including one woman. “Considering the legal principle of the presumption of innocence and in order not to prejudice the eventual outcome of our investigation or compromise the safety of other persons I would want to respectfully refrain from mentioning any names of persons that are currently in custody,” he says, but he stated they are all above the age of 18-years.
Police have maintained that the Le50 million for information leading to a conviction still stands and they assure the confidentiality of anyone providing information.
It could be recalled, three days ago, the leader of the Alliance Democratic Party (ADP) Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray, offered an additional Le100 million reward for information.
