On Sunday, March 26, 2017, the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, H.E. Dr Ernest Bai Koroma will unveil the historic new statue, honouring the great Sierra Leonean Patriot, Philanthropist & Business Magnate, Ambassador Gibril Santigie Moseray Fadika (commonly called ‘Super’), in Fourah Bay Road, near Cottage Hospital, Freetown, at 2: 00pm.
The statue was erected by the Moseray Fadika Trust, with support from the family, friends and organisations in Sierra Leone and in diaspora, who are affiliated to Ambassador Moseray Fadika. The statue is part of our ongoing work to keep Ambassador Fadika’s legacy alive and develop monuments and projects that reflect our collective aspirations as Sierra Leoneans and the values that Ambassador Fadika stood for.
The Moseray Fadika Trust presents its compliments to the media and general public, and has the honour to invite everyone to participate in the ceremonies of the unveiling and dedication of the statue of a true patriot who taught us the values of prayers, humanity, charity, sincerity, integrity, prosperity, selflessness, forgiveness, tolerance and respect for one another. Ambassador Fadika inspired all us to work towards eradicating poverty and creating jobs. He told the nation: “WE ARE BORN POOR. WE MUST NOT DIE POOR”
The ceremony will feature prayers and personal reflections from Ambassador Fadika’s widow, children, brothers, sisters, relatives, friends and other stakeholders.
The family and friends of the late Ambassador Moseray Fadika would like to thank the public most sincerely for the support in our recent bereavement. Your gentle sympathy and support will be remembered with great affection and gratitude.
