The attention of Alj. Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella and the National Grand Coalition (NGC, has been drawn to a mischievous post circulating on social media falsely claiming that Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella has withdrawn from the race for the presidency of the Republic of Sierra Leone.
The NGC wishes to inform the general public that there is absolutely no truth to this story and the document circulating on social media purported to have been written by Dr. Yumkella is totally fake. It is very clear that operatives of a certain political pa, are so scared of the candidacy of Dr. Yumkella that they are employing all kinds of devious means to convince Sierra Leoneans not to vote for him.
The NGC therefore continues to advise its members and supporters to ignore all publications on social media related to the presidential candidate of the NGC that do not bear the signature of the party’s Campaign Spokesman.
Meanwhile, all Sierra Leonean registered voters are urged to go out and exercise their rights by voting for the candidates of their choice in order to bring about real change in Sierra Leone and ensure a future of hope and opportunity for all and transformation of our country to a place where we can all live and prosper.
There is a letter making the rounds on WhatsApp that Kandeh Yumkella of the NGC has pulled out of the race. This is really really bad. Why would anyone do this on Election Day. Smh. #SierraLeone #SierraLeoneElections #SierraLeoneDecides pic.twitter.com/kxREFMzNSn
