In his recent cabinet reshuffle which has been described as the biggest since President Koroma came to power in 2007, Mohamed Bangura who few months ago was seen as bag carrier of President Koroma in all his trips has now been nominated to be the Minister of Information and Communication.
Mohamed Bangura was also described by the opposition party as a political ventriloquist when he formed his United Democratic Movement Party only for him to abandon the party in the middle of the sea and join the ruling All People Congress Party.
As was expected the one time chairman and leader of UDM turned Presidential bag carrier has now been made Minister of Information and Communication amidst the legality of his appointment.
The Leader and Chairman of Alliance Democratic Party (ADP), Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray has written a letter to the Speaker of Parliament questioning the constitutionality of the appointment of Mohamed Bangura who according to the ADP Leader violated section 56 sub section (2b) of the 1991 constitution.
The ADP Leader said that there will be a peaceful protest in the corridors of the Parliament against the approval of the Minister of Information designate, Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray
However Mohamed Bangura in a radio interview has dismissed the claims of the ADP Leader by describing it as ignorance adding that, “ if you wash your hands well, you’ll eat with Kings”
