The initiative will use football to promote gender equality, positive values, and benefits for the promotion of women football.
Powerplay will play a vital role in CAF competitions especially the AFCON Women competitions.

A delighted Madam JOHANSEN who has left this evening for the UK to join Mrs Cherie Blair and other high profile female as guest speakers on women’s leadership had this comment to make on hearing the news.

“Change is very hard to implement but once you hit the right note and the right angle, the momentum starts. I am very happy for my African women folk, who will be benefiting from this initiative. There is so much to do and with CAF and FIFA’s support, we are up to the task.”
