An alleged Thief was been beaten up by a crowd last Friday in the Congo Cross area of Freetown.
According to information received by Sierraloaded, the alleged Thief, identified as Gibrila Sheku Kargbo A.K.A POP SHEIK had at about 3:30am gone out to buy bread at a nearby bakery for fasting.
On his way back, passing a nearby alarming vehicle packed along the street, unfortunately its alarm came on and youths within the area woke up and attacked him to be a thief.
The crowd pounced on him, beating him blue black till he succumbed to death, even though he explained that he’s a resident within the area.
Until his death, Pop sheikh was a contractor, who helped to interpret and supervise the construction of the Makeni clock tower, the new Lumley police station and various other buildings in Freetown.
He is also a former employee and supervisor at London mining and Modcon construction company.
